TAYLOR & PHILLIPS
My paternal ggrandparents were William Wiley (Bill) Taylor and Joanna Phillips. Although I'm still missing 40 years (1880-1920) of Bill's life (see Puzzlers), I've been able to trace his ancestry back to 'the immigrant', George Taylor, and that genealogy report is available below. The Phillips line has not been so easy to follow. Currently I am stalled with my ggggrandfather, William Phillips, in TN during the early 1800's and I'm facing some difficult research. What little Phillips data I have is included in the genealogy report below. The Risenhoover family (Margaret E. Risenhoover was m. to my gggrandfather, B. C. Phillips) wasn't too difficult to trace due to the name being pretty uncommon. A genealogy report on that line's immigrant ancestor is available below.
Two other families requiring mention here are the Throgmorton's and the Atnip's. My gggrandmother was Mary E. Throgmorton m. to Drury Mathew Taylor. When I began researching her, I found that at least two (and maybe three) generations of Taylor's and Throgmorton's led closely entwined lives. I mentioned this fact in a book soon to be released and that report is available below along with a genealogy report on 'my' Throgmorton's. The Atnip report is available on this page because the Atnip's keep showing up being married to many of my Taylor's and also a Risenhoover or two.
