Following the Civil War, my TAYLOR family moved from Jefferson Co IL (1870 census) through MO (probably Oregon Co) into Lawrence Co AR. My GGGrandmother, Mary E. (THROGMORTON) TAYLOR married her late husband's cousin, Greenberry TAYLOR in Lawrence Co AR in 1872. Greenberry probably died during the next eight years because Mary (listed as Mary A.) TAYLOR (b.1843) is listed with her family in the 1880 Lawrence Co Arkansas Census. Living with her are L.F. THROGMARTIN (her mother, Lucy Throgmorton b. 1814), Leander J. TAYLOR (b. 1860), Jeff D. TAYLOR (b. 1863), William W. & John R. TAYLOR (twins b. 1868), Robert L. (b. 1873). Four of the boys marriages are later registered in Lawrence County ... Jefferson D. TAYLOR m. Sallie S. BUNCH, 1884 and then Clara M. BAGLEY, 1889; Leander TAYLOR m. Patsy J. BUNCH, 1884; William Wiley TAYLOR m. Joanna Phillips, 1892; John R. TAYLOR m. Francis FREER, 1893. Other than William W. TAYLOR (my GGrandfather) I have lost all trace of these families after the census and marriages. Any and all assistance in locating information about them would be most appreciated.
