Robert Throckmorton purchased 394 acres of land from George Watkins in 1764 and 164 acres from Burgis Walls 4 Nov 1769 (I was able to get the Land Surveyors plots from the Halifax Co., VA CourtHouse and plotting the Metes & Bounds for Halifax Co., VA. I was able to plot the Throckmorton land and the adjoining owners as the ownership of the land changed hands). There is no recorded transaction for the sale of land to Josiah Throckmorton that I have found, but in the land transactions for the sale to Robert Jr. and William Throckmorton and other land transactions it is noted that part of the original 390 a is owned by Josiah Throckmorton. Robert Throckmorton died between: 4 May 1800 - 20 Oct 1801 Halifax, Co., VA.

In the will of Robert Sharpe written about 1771, Susannah Frogmorton is noted. I believe she was the 1st wife of Robert Throckmorton (about 1722-1801). Susannah (Sharpe) Throgmorton died about 1774. I believe that she died either in giving birth to Sharp Throckmorton or very shortly after his birth.

Robert Throgmorton (about 1722-1801) married, as his second wife, Elizabeth Hack/Mack . The only know issue to this marriage is Henry Throckmorton (Jun 1781 - 1834).
